I, Amitava Bhattacharya Started Film making from 1980 (40 years ago), have made films for many famous Indian and Multinational companies, Public Sector Enterprises, Government Departments and NGO’s .
QUALIFICATIONS and ACCREDITIONS
- Accredited to Government of India Press Information Bureau.
- Diploma in Cinematography from Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune in 1980
- Course in Television Sports Production from Asia Pacific Institute of Broadcasting Development, Kuala Lampur, in 1982.
- Specialization Course for News and Current affairs from B.B.C. World Television in 1985.
WORK EXPERIENCE and ACHIEVEMENTS
- Total Experience in Television Industry more than 40 Years.
- Presently undertaking the freelance assignment for doing Video & Still shooting with corporate houses, a Production house in Delhi & Mumbai, Event management companies, Education institutes, etc.
- Worked as Head of the Operations & production in an Infotainment Channel 1 TV in Kabul Afghanistan.
- Worked as Channel head in up-coming news channel Surya Sagar News in Noida (The project is yet to take-off due to the Government Licensing process).
- Worked as Channel Head KBC (Kohinoor Broadcasting Corporation) Hindi News based in Punjab.
- Worked at PBN (Punjabi by Nature) Channel as Channel Head PBN is a Punjabi Channel catering to the Punjabi Community all over the world was also based in Chandigarh.
- Worked as a Visiting Consultant providing Training for Camera teams to the newly appointed staff members of TVC News Africa a newly created English News Channel in Nigeria for the African Continent.
- Worked with GN Group as Operational Head, The group launched Hindi satellite channel GNN News & GNN Bhakti (Spiritual Channel).
- Worked as the Head of Operations in R-Plus Channel at Kolkata this was (Regional channel in Bengali).
- Worked as Head of Corporate Communication in Cogent Group, Delhi.
- Worked in S1 Television News as Vice President Operations.
- Worked as Programming Head in Shakti Television Spiritual Channel.
- Worked as Operational Head with ATN Hindi Channel based in Moscow USSR.
- Worked as Cameraman with Indian Television, deputed with five Priministerteam for PM’s coverage, and traveled with the team all around the world for National Television for almost Twenty Years.
- Trained News Anchors, News Presenters, Reporters, Cameraman, Video Editors, Producers of GNN News Channel, R-Plus News Channel, S1 News Channel for getting perfection in facing camera in the live broadcasting situation.

- Best corporate film award for the film on Hindustan Copper Limited for the year 1995 in Public Sector Organization under Standing Committee of Public Enterprises (SCOPE).
- Best promotion film for the Tourism Sector in India for the year 1996 on Palace on Wheels produced for Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation & Ministry of Railways.
